As well as tasting four different boudin for comparison I fixed a delicious rice and gravy with baked sweet potatoes, corn and warm French bread.

Picked up a lb of brisket at Smokers Paradise in Winnsboro to put on some white bread. Best Smoked meats in NELA.

Winnsboro?

On your way to your camp?

I have actually driven through Winnsboro, but I had no idea I should have stopped for Smoked Meat.

When will I ever learn the secrets of life?

edited to add:

Must be good, you passed a sonic to get to it and a Popeye's too, I guess.

I wouldn't recommend a trip to Winnsboro but if you happen to find yourself there you should definitely stop by Smoker's Paradise MD. The "smoke" in Smoker's Paradise is actually alluding to that which is generated by cigs. But they have a man out back who puts out the best smoked brisket, chicken, turkey, ham and pork in the 318 IMHO.

Heading south it will be on your left across the road from Popeye's. His sides are ok but the meats are where it's at. Stop by on your way to BR today and get you a sandwich.
