Gonna try the duck breast with a blackberry reduction as suggested by the board. Going to pair with roasted new potatoes and a baby arugula salad.

did the pineapple go in the boil? Or just alongside the crawfish? I've never seen that.

Not sure on dinner... I have some broccoli and broccolini. Probably those, mushrooms and onions over rice. Whiskey soon after

I've done a pineapple in the soak... Came out tasting like a warm pinapple

I would suggest poking holes with a small drill bit, rather than the knife I used

I had a hankering for crawfish at lunch today. While in line ordering, 3 members of the St Tammany Parish Fire Department/ EMS crew got in line behind me. They were all wet from being in the rain for the last 10 hours directing traffic with flood control and tending to other ancillary calls. I paid for their lunch and they asked me to sit with them. It was the most enjoyable lunch I've had in quite a while. It is amazing what the first responders do for us on a daily basis.

I'm grilling filets, squash/ zucchini medley, and baked sweet potatoes for dinner tonight.

Wife and MIL want to eat at Fezzos. I'll probably get some crawfish because I've never had them there

Trying some Conecuh hickory smoked sausage for the first time tonight. Been avoiding it because of a great sausage making company here in town.

Grilled sausage, rice with stewed tomatoes and okra, cornbread.
