Shrimp and grits, NOLA BBQ style
Posted on 12/23/20 at 6:42 pm to BayouENGR
Friend,
I have just ordered two pizzas from Domino's, in accordance to my Christmas traditions. One is a pan and the other thin crust. I will update with pictures and weights in a little bit.
If Meridian Dog is reading, please know that you are in our prayers and that I hope you are feeling better.
Yours,
TulaneLSU

Jasmine made my pizza. She's one of my favorite Domino's pizzaiolos (or should it be pizzaiola?). She often makes my pies and I always compliment her. She is well aware of my love of Lenox Santa mugs, as I have shown her pictures of me sipping from my favorite mug. Would you believe that she had a gift waiting for me. It was a Santa mug! So sweet and I really appreciate it. It was so thoughtful that I will overlook that she accidentally put an onion on my pan pizza. That was an unwelcome surprise.
The pan was a whopping 27.5 ounces and the thin was 19.0 ounces. Jasmine was very liberal with the toppings. Thank you.

First you make a roux....
This is for tomorrow night but must test for quality control purposes.

Cheers Darla. Screwed up my roux a couple of months ago using a new ceramic coated pot so went back to my old trusty black pot.

Burnt the roux. Frick the Wuhan flu. Still can’t get shite right. Wife had to tell me it didn’t smell right before I added all the veggies. Frying more bacon, do over time.
