I’m jealous you found Pearl onions. I did beef bourguignon last night and couldn’t find them anywhere.

A “chicken casserole” that was basically chicken fettuccine with bread crumbs on top that our neighbor gave us for whatever reason. It’s was pretty good. I had previous thawed some Teet’s boudin that I had planned to eat while watching the NFL games tonight, so we had that for an app.

pearl onions

I found mine at the Tom Thumb, which is essentially just an Albertson's/Randall's/Shaw's.

I actually wasn't even planning on using them but they caught my eye at the grocery and I decided that they would be completely delicious in a beef stew.

I was right.

Total pain in the arse to peel, though.

They are!

LL too late now, but I found them at Southside Produce a couple weeks ago and will look for them again tomorrow to make Beef Bourgogne (after the post earlier this week has me craving).

I’ve never needed to peel the frozen ones.

I didn't even know the frozen ones existed until earlier today when I was googling the easiest way to peel pearl onions

I will definitely try to find those next time, although the fresh ones were worth the trouble.

That's all I've ever used. I didn't realize fresh ones were available.

I actually made it ahead of time to eat tonight so you’re not late! That’s good to know. It’s on my way home today.
