He's just an investor. It's the same thing as Jimmy John's for him. Their money is coming from new franchises.

A while back I saw a guy from Lafayette bought the rights to 10 franchises in the Houston area, are those open?

I actually liked the menu when it first opened.
They took a lot of things off that I used to get.
I'm not crazy about the burgers either.

but since finding a place with decent service is hard to come by I don't have high expectations.
I never have issues with service here.

My MIL (who lives there) is in town, told her this news and she said,

"Now all the drunks can go there drink their liquor and take uber home without killing some family"

Ok how am I wrong? I remember going into places and all the liquor bottles were either put away, or covered. Asked for a cocktail and was told West Monroe law prohibited liquor sales on Sunday and beer sales before noon.

You're not wrong. I live in West Monroe and you are exactly right. No liquor at all on Sundays. Beer and wine only after noon. 100% fact.

I'll tell you that their financials are amazing. 30% an above on liquor mix. Average unit vol is over 5 million. And they are putting 1 million to the bottom line. They have over 80 sites already paid for by franchise groups. This concept will have 500 units in 5 more years...money people in the restaurant business are throwing money at them.

Walk Ons is good for college and young people that aren't trying to drop a paycheck on dinner and a few beers. I always leave happy when I go there

So which Thomas Road restaurant is going under after Walk Ons opens?

How city planners don't realize what a zero sum game these restaurants are, I don't know. One goes up, another goes down.

That's gonna pinch Hooters and leave a mark.

They need to step up the service and go topless, let's see Walk On's match that.
