Ever had a pickle back shot?

Irish whiskey shot followed by a shot of pickle juice.

Sounds disgusting but it is tasty!

I make chocolate gravy with biscuits and usually have bacon with it to dip in the gravy. Another sweet and savory one is McDonalds sausage biscuit with grape jelly.

Catalina dressing with pizza. Everyone on the ms golf coast eats it this way but when I went off to college I quickly discovered this was labeled as a “weird” combination

Dill pickle and cheddar cheese sandwich with yellow mustard. Not that weird to me, but I’ve been told by others it is

Adding a fried hamburger patty would really spruce up that sandwich. Just a suggestion.

Mayonnaise and sugar sandwich. Take one slice of bunny bread and spread blue plate mayonnaise on it. Sprinkle sugar over the top and fold in half. My Dad used to make them for us when we were kids. I still make one every now and then.

Cheese and apples

It is common to serve a slice of cheese on top of apple pie in Britain and much of the American midwest and northeast.

Americans tend to go with cheddar. My first exposure to it was in England, where the hostess presented a piece of apple pie topped with a thick slice of local Wensleydale cheese.

I could not have been more surprised, but I learned that it was quite common. Tastes good too.
