So we have a sitter this Saturday for about 4 hours and if we don’t attend the St.Micheal HS fundraiser with a new friend, we want to go some where to “dine” and have the meal drawn out over a few hours. I know this is not the norm. but we like to have some wine and app—digest---salad—digest---entrée—digest----desert/after dinner drinks. Ect… Do not want to be rushed, but take time talking and actually enjoying all the courses of the meal instead of being a ‘table turned”.

Fancy, expensive or simple, reasonable priced are all on board just as long if it is good food and an experience.

Thanks

Go somewhere with an outside bar and spend the first hour having drinks before asking to be seated.

On a Sat. night it might be hard finding a place that's not looking to turn tables...there is a very upscale place by the cabin (same owners) that is reservation only and the meal is in courses...this may fit your bill...now if I can only remember the name...I'll get back to you

Found it

LINK

I have been wanting to try it...If you go....give us a review.

Fleming's. dinner there takes about 2 hours anyway. Just let them know you want to take your time. I'd recommend pairing wine with each course. Easily a 2-3 hour meal.

As for any restaurant on a Saturday night, try to make a 8pm reservation. This way they won't be as likely to want to turn you.

Digiulio's. If you don't go early chances are you will wait but if you're not worried about time that's a good call. Osso Bucco is the shite and the only place in BR that has it. Little Village downtown is good as is Gino's and Ruffino's. But Digiulio's is the best in BR for Italian IMO.

Other good items include Veal Avezzano(veal and eggplant parm on top of each other), Eggplant Parm, Veal Parm, Cheese Lasagna with a meetball.

Don't know if they'll have it but they have a Baked Penne special on some nights that is incredible.

I'll agree with Digiulio's. You are basically guaranteed at least a one hour wait. You can either grab some drinks from the bar and wait inside or out. Another option is throw your name on the list and they'll call you when your table is ready. You can then walk over to any of the bars in the area while you wait.

I'll recommend the butter steak

plus the app/ dessert specials are pretty good as well

Latil's Landing at Houmus House...add in the drive cocktails at their little bar dinner (pairings with wine)and then a tour or just walk around the grounds before or after...it's on the website...we REALLY enjoyed our experience!

Brandt's Maisonette is outstanding. It's a European style dining experience, which is what you're looking for. But I would check with them ASAP, they book up fast they're only open wed-sat I think.

Can you give a lowdown on the menu offerings at this place?

Wife and I are in your shoes many a time. Here's what we have done:

For fancy

Latil's: 35 minute drive, great bar, beautiful grounds, well executed food.

Brandt's: no bar-stop elsewhere prior.

Maison Lacour: ignore recent review on here

For more casual

We usually go to the bar at Juban's for apps, and then hit a casual spot for dinner (DiGiulio Brothers, Pinetta, Byron'setc) and then wind it down at Parrain's or Acme for more drinks.
