Anyone know what’s happened to this place?

Went on a Saturday night and it was just bad. Completely outdated, only had 2 girls working the bar, food wasn’t bad or good, just meh but super pricey.

For basically being on LSU’s campus where tons of fans go and away fans come, they don’t seem to care about that location one bit and if I remember correctly, it’s a corporate owned store.

First, only and last time I’ve been to WO was that location. Dirty, slow, overpriced and underwhelming.

I think it's just impossible to find staff to run a restaurant these days, especially in certain areas. I would say walk-ons has kept prices fairly low compared to other places, so they must have sacrificed service.

There's also just not a great crowd over there. College kids dont go to walk-ons, they go to Tigerland or other spots. The only real crowd yoiu have that can easily to get to that walk-ons is the crowd that lives down Burbank towards bluebonnet, and they are more in the young family age that doesnt have time to go out, and there are more restaurants opening closer to them (Superior and Tsunami).

That walkons prob crushes it on gamedays & work events, and that's about it.

The thriving walk-ons seem to be the ones in the suburns where there arent many other options and you want a place that's kinda cool, but safe to bring the family.

Walk-Ons got too big, too fast and the quality has suffered bigly.

The thing is, the pattern was not up then down.

Walk-Ons was trash initially, and it was even a running joke on this board how bad it was.

Then they started to expand, and they improved their food tremendously at that time. There was a lot of talk about it on here because it was noticeably better.

It seems maybe those improvements have fallen to the wayside these days.

Exactly what happened to Planet Hollywood in the 90’s.

Because the model was to have some proven success at expanded locations, get private equity involved, then with your proven model of success switch to a franchise model, hand them out like candy, give 0 fricks, and cash out

I like walk ons Burbank. Is it as good staff wise as it was when it first opened? Probably not. But I don't mind the food and there are sports and alcohol.

Same. I've never had an issue at that one. The Town Center location, on the other hand......

it happens to all the chains
Chili's has been that way for awhile now too
terrible service and quality has gone down

I actually thought the menu when the first Walk Ons opened was pretty good
then they changed everything up and took all the good menu options off the menu
prices have become outrageous as well but that's not just walk ons

It’s a sports bar. I don’t expect gourmet food when I go there. I go there when it is convenient to a sporting event I am attending.

I. like the Chimes better.
