Velvet Taco - DFW (Pictures)

Velvet Taco's Ft. Worth location was recommended by Zappas Stache in another thread. I didn't end up making it to that location but we stopped at the Henderson Ave location on our way out of town yesterday. Absolutely delicious and we will definitely be back.
Slow-roasted angus brisket (Left): barbacoa style, red chile mayo, avocado relish, queso blanco, micro cilantro, comté cheese, encrusted flour tortilla
Korean Pork (Right): angry crema, kimchee slaw, pickled fresnos, cilantro, corn tortilla
Spicy Tikka Chicken (Left and Middle): crisp tenders, spicy tikka sauce, buttered cilantro basmati rice, raita crema, Thai basil, flour tortilla
Rotisserie Chicken (Right): queso blanco, roasted corn pico, charred tomato poblano salsa, cilantro, corn tortilla
Elote Corn: queso listo, Valentina, crema, queso fresco, lime

I live at most .3 a mile away from there and haven't been. It's my own fault

I went wasted once and really enjoyed it. their crispy tots and local egg is delicious for a side

I'm a sucker for elote but I saw an order of the tots pass by me and it looked really good. Maybe next time!

I sign off on this place. Went to the one in Dallas. Best tacos I’ve ever had. I think I had two Cubans, and almost got back in line for two more. Line was out the door.

Yea, I'm about 2 miles away from the Henderson location but I always go the Greenville location.....I didn't even know they had one on henderson.

I find Velvet's actual tacos to be pretty meh. I like their queso.
Every Monday they do a special where you can get a whole rotisserie chicken, an elote, pico, tortillas and salsa for 10 bucks. Decent deal when the wife and I don't feel like cooking.

It’s pretty meh. They’re inventive and creative tacos, I’ll give them that. If I want white people tacos I’m going to taco deli.

Love Velvet. That Barbacoa one with the cheese crusted tortilla is awesome. Also love the Shrimp & Grits and the Picnic Chicken Taco.
I generally will decide whether I'm going to Velvet or Mariachi based upon the WTF taco of the week at Velvet. If they have the Nashville hot chicken or the fried gator or the camel kabob tacos that'll draw me in.

The only thing good about Torchy’s is their queso. And their queso is GOAT.

I would out taco deli above Torchys these days... Except for torchys green chile queso....part of it may be I'm burned out on torchys.
