Have been tasked with finding a unorthodox item to include in this afternoons crawfish boil.

What says the OT?

Brussel sprouts are a big hit with my crew, not sure how unorthodox we're talking. Mushrooms are good too but that's pretty common nowadays.

Lotus root

I use it as a Chinese hot pot staple, so in a crawfish boil it will go well. It will be like flavored water chestnuts

Pineapple.

Cut that sucker up right before dumping. The sweet and the salty is a great mix.

Eat it all at the boil because it doesn’t save worth a flip.
