I run all over. Mag .. St. Charles .. Camp .. CBD .. criss cross all around. Gets boring if I run the same route every time.

Not as bad as the people who ride their bikes. The really bad ones ride on the side walk. Gets my blood boiling.

Baie Rouge and Rivista also just opened. Along with a BBQ place the name slips me.

All on the 4000 block

Baie Rouge is very good

Have you been there? I'm intrigued by the place but I'm not a coffee drinker. Their food looks good.

only had it the one time .. got the burger .. thought it was excellent. brie fries were pretty crappy though / despite the waiter's insistence that we HAD to try them.

Completely underwelming. They were soggy and the cheese sauce didn't add much. My pork sandwich was pretty solid though. The menu needs to evolve some.

I thought the old Byblos was going to be an "authentic" Mexican joint.

You must have gone on an off night. The fries are pretty amazing.

Not sure what would have been the difference between when I went and they were soggy and bland, and when you went and found them to be amazing.

- cook fries
- melt brie cheese on top
- don't season
- serve

I'd throw a germans in here if I was in the mood. Anyway, as I said I talked to the dude building out the Amici spot and he was talking up the oven as being the only one of its kind outside of NYC. Take it for what its worth, was some guy in overalls putting spackle on the bar area. VOR I'm with you, more classic seafood joint stuff is needed there. No frills food with a decent beer selection and the ability to sit outside on the sidewalk would be great.

Small bakery. Scones, muffins, croissant, danish, quiche, a few other things, etc. Limited selection but good and convenient.

This catch my eye yesterday. Crawfish Roll on house made brioche, with local yard egg mayo and zippy arugula.

Not German pizza, but how about hipster^2 pizza?

So what's the consensus on Baie Rouge? Worth it for a Friday night dinner?
