I have to go there tomorrow AM and was looking for a local lunch spot. We've done the Northport Diner place before and was looking for something different.
Local recommendations appreciated.

I remember Rama Jamas being pretty good if you're okay with typical American style food. Tut's is another restaurant I remember being pretty solid.

The original Dreamland is really neat if you haven't been.
There are a lot of new restaurants. I haven't been to Tuscaloosa in a while.

This is the only answer. Get the ribs! It's a shack in a crappy area of Northport with picnic tables outside to sit on, but the bbq is seriously legit.

Oh look, another non contribution from the resident F & D smart### who hasn't even tried 95% of the places mentioned.

Have any of y'all been to Kozys, Epiphanys, or Evangelines? They're higher end places that seem to get a lot of love but are either too expensive or too under the radar to have widespread appeal among locals. The few reviews they get are very positive, but they're never recommended by locals for some reason.
