I bet you bring your mouth to the boudin, bob your head and close your eyes when you sample that boudin.

No Best Stop=Not a legitimate list. Start over and try again!

Likewise one of mine. Props to TulaneLSU for giving it a go, surely everyone's list would have a grave omission or two.

Leaving out Best Stop, though, likely the gravest of those given they started the whole Scott exit thing if I recall correctly.

Did stop at Bosco's once but when it was Linx and thought it really good, haven't been since the switch. Nunu's I like as well. On other hand, stopped at the Heberts in Breaux Bridge for a link on way back to BR one day, thought the boudin was awful, had some spice I couldn't put my finger on that stood out way too much.

As usual this type of thread is good for entertainment as most boudin pics look like you just got a Chinaman to eat a bunch of rice and crap in a condom!

Friends,

This week I was able to sample Hebert’s of Destin, which is sort of a branch from the original in Maurice. Excellent boudin and boudin balls. We also picked up some stuffed chickens. The shrimp rice is far superior to the other options especially the broccoli cheddar which is not very good.

Yours,
TulaneLSU

Their stuff chickens are good, but Herbert’s boudin is trash compared to the majority of its Acadiana competition.

ragincajun03 has greater standing in my book to comment on the quality of boudin.

I agree with your number one. We duck hunt down the road and rarely stop at Billy’s unless we need a meal. It’s tradition to stop on the way home and get a few links. It’s my favorite for sure... full of meat.

I agree with #1 and #2. Bergerons in Gonzales is good too. I only buy smoked boudin though.

Mine too. Nobody ever tries it when they do these boudin "tours". I'll tell you who else gets overlooked...Legnon's in New Iberia. It legit gives Billeaud's a run for it's money.

Yep

Have to have that good amount of pork liver. That takes a shop to the next level.
