I heard that a Trader Joe's is being put in the Warehouse Dist. Sorry if this has been discussed but just heard last night.

I've never been to one but hear they are great small groceries.

Anyone been to one?

Been to one in NYC. It's different .. they have a lot of things you don't find elsewhere that people go nuts for; but I'm not a big fan of snacking or snackish type foods.

nothing comes up when you Google Trader Joes in New Orleans. They are opening a Trader Joe's in Baton Rouge...

Yes, the lot on Julia and Baronne? It used to be a gas or auto shop. It's not gonna be very big.

They are all over the place up here. It's like a cult, some peoe swear by it. I personally don't care for it and don't get the hype. Although their pumpkin ice cream around the holidays is bad arse. If I still lived in NOLA I would shop at Dorignacs before Trader Joes

Same cheap wine as Whole Food's brand. Not bad for $3.99. Or maybe it's $2.99. Can't remember.

Some of their frozen dinners are ok for a quick weeknight dinner, lots of snack foods...that's about it.

Went to the one in Houston yesterday, don't get the hype, just a small grocery store that's relatively cheap.

$2.99

As said, not somewhere that I'd do my shopping, but I'll pick up a couple of novelty items from there

Supposedly, the one thats opening about 1/2 mile from me will carry a lot of craft beer. Hopefully well priced. Other than that, the ones Ive been in have been underwhelming given all the hype.

There is one a half mile away from my apartment. Small, 95% of the items are trader joes products. Not a big fan

Their Simple Time lager isn't great or terrible. It is cheap, though. I want to say it comes in at a little over 6% abv and is only $4 a six pack. Excellent fishing beer.
