The SO and I are headed to Shreveport for business and we're looking for a place for dinner. We like all different types of food, just looking for the best bite. Not looking for anything super upscale. TIA

Lucky Palace in Bossier is pretty good for dinner. James Beard semifinalist for wine program. All the others on the list are NYC, Chicago, LA, etc. One in NOLA, then Bossier City. It’s in a dump hotel, and the lunch is nothing special, but dinner is worth a visit.
Mabry House. In and old Highland house.
May want to get reservations for either.

If you’re okay with casual, go to downtown Bossier. There are multiple options. You can walk around with an open container. It’s really a cool thing they’ve got going on.

Yeah. Flying Heart has some good pizza, and Frozen Pirogue has good chargrilled oysters and other stuff. You can throw axes next door.

Herby-K's and Ralph & Kacoo's are seriously good places. Check them out!

I enjoyed Lucky Palace the one time I went. The wine list is great too.

Silver Star Grille in Shreveport or Silver Star Smokehouse in Bossier. Get a rib eye and an order of au gratin potatoes as your side. The eye candy staff and patrons are a bonus.

My favorites when I lived there were Athena, Greek/Lebanese place on Line Av. And Danh’s Garden which is a hole in the wall Thai place on Youree, near Kings highway. Both excellent, if you only have time for one, go to Danhs.
Marilyns place has good Cajun food.
Ki Mexico is new but delicious. Twisted Root has great unique burgers.

Ownership changed a couple of times- I’m not too sure about it right now.
Oyster Bar, Chianti, Guissepi’s, Tejas, Fat Calf Brasserie are all good options
