I often give thanks to God for my cheap arse po boy taste buds. Back in the day when I was knocking back 6 figures I drank top shelf beer not cause it was my favorite but cause I could afford it. it was fun to try all the crappy kraft beers and local stuff when it came out. Now I contentedly sip my tall busches with a smile glad that I actually like the taste

$100 says you would fail a Pepsi challenge in identifying budlight vs Miller light vs Coors light.

I have done that before...almost all of them tasted the same.

The exceptions
Bud and bud light (rice?)
Ultra (tasted like water)

FWIW we also "ranked them"

Bud was the lowest ranked, followed by Bud Light (and almost all of the 10 people "testing" claimed it was their "go to" beer), then Busch.

The top rated:
Yeungling
High life light - not joking
Yeungling light
High life
Abita light

I wasn't surprised at the Yeungling being tops, but the High Life Light shocked everybody there. I guess it just goes to show how much marketing matters. FWIW, My go to WAS Coors light up to that point. When I rated even Natural Light above it, I realized that my eyeballs and ears had fooled my tastebuds. Ironically, most of those guys still have Bud light as their go to beer. Mine is whatever is free and cold. If I am buying though, the cheap stuff works fine. I guess Im in touch with my inner white trash.

I don't see how you and the Mexicans like tomato juice and beer.

I drank one sip in the parking lot, tossed it and went back for a regular beer

Teach me.

When craft beers are available for $20 bucks for a 30-pack, I might act like they're an apples to apples comparison.

Kind of sad how average all these beers are. Now Mich Ultra is growing and I know a ton of people switching to it for "healthy" but still a decent buzz after a few.

I really don't drink beer much anymore. I usually have a whiskey/bourbon/scotch depending on the mood after I'm done with work and sit to do the nightly numbers and confirm appointments so on for the next day. Beer I drink during football games and occasionally have one at lunch. When I do..Dos Equis and Red Stripe are two favorites.

I don’t really drink them. I had a few in my life, but I have a couple friends that can drink 4 or 5 a day.
