Today is the best day of the year for you to satisfy your craving for crispy, juicy, sometimes spicy, always delicious fried chicken. Each year, restaurants offer special deals on July 6, for National Fried Chicken Day. What a way to end the week! And for our vegetarian friends, might I suggest celebrating with our chicken-fried cauliflower recipe? Still fried bliss, minus the meat.

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen
24 cent drumsticks. Need I say more? Some Popeyes will be open 24 hours to celebrate, and participating locations will have a period even AFTER tomorrow where you can buy the 24 cent drumsticks. Gather your quarters, people.

Church's Chicken
Choose between two pieces of the Original or Spicy bone-in chicken plus two sides, and the signature Honey Butter Biscuits for just five dollars. For the same price, you can get a one-half Original Smokehouse Chicken, any one side item, and a Honey Butter Biscuit.

Even better than $5 chicken options is that Church's will donate $1 to the #ShowLove campaign for each guest that shares a story about giving back to their community on social media. Just tag #ShowLove and #ChurchsChicken. Donations will go directly toward food and volunteer coordination to help feed the homeless at various events.

Domino's Pizza
Choose any two or more: medium two-topping pizza, pastas, oven baked sandwiches, 8-pieces chicken, or stuffy cheesy breads for $5.99 each.

Kentucky Fried Chicken
KFC's offering is ideal for a group: For $10 you can get a Chicken Share: either nine Extra Crispy tenders, six pieces of chicken, "a lot of popcorn nuggets", or 12 hot wings. Squad up!

To celebrate the special day, Colonel Sanders will be appearing on the soap opera, General Hospital. So, there's that.

White Castle
They're not just sliders, you know. Grab 12 chicken rings for $2.99. If you're ordering online or via the White Castle app, you can get 10 original sliders, 20 chicken wings, and a sack of fries for $12.99. Sign me up.

Burger King
For $1.69, you can get 10 chicken nuggets. If a sandwich is more your speed, go for the 2 for $6 Mix or Match. You can choose between the Crispy Sandwich, Spicy Crispy Sandwich, or a Whopper.

McDonald's
Download McDonald's app to get 20 Chicken McNuggets for $4.99. With the app, you can also get a sandwich for $1 (lookin' at you, McChicken!)

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to escape my families genes. But, hey, I can still drink plenty of beer, so I've got that going for me...

When I saw that I thought it probably wouldn't apply to me but then I see it's at the Popeyes right down the street from me (I work in Anaheim). I might go hit that up.
