business report

supposedly they plan to open a restaurant and brewery in the Raleigh area. i wish them luck competing in this area. I've had a lot better beers than they offer since moving here.

It is continuously harped that we should support local, but it seems like that isn't the case in reverse...Why not put this concept here, locally ?

They’re implying that they will be making completely different beers. So how do you know if you will like them better or not?

The brewery will be a separate concept from the Tin Roof Brewery located in downtown Baton Rouge with a whole new team and line of beers, says Tin Roof co-owner William McGehee.

Great idea William. Spread yourself thin when you haven't even figured out how to consistently brew beer well at your first location.

What could go wrong?

Smart move to scrub the current lineup and start over with new beer.

Bingo. A huge gamble. We will see if it pays off.

If they start with the JT era lineup, they'll be in much better shape

No.

The owner of Tin Roof is opening a new brewpub in Raleigh in a development that has Baton Rouge ties, but it won't be Tin Roof or even really connected to Tin Roof.

I was a LONG time Tin Roof hater. But they seem to have really gotten their shite together, largely by going and getting outside help.

This looks like the beginning of the "leverage one business to start another, and then end up losing both" ploy. All coming from a team that's been around for 7 years and still hasn't found a way to put a sign on Nicholson.

I hope I'm wrong, I've enjoyed Tin Roof and they've turned the tap room into decent day drinking hangout.

This... the recent releases they've been doing have been mostly solid.
