Milk Shake Candy Bar
Pop Rouge
K & B Ice Cream
McKenzies Broadway rolls

Ditto on the Kraft garlic and jalopeno rolls. We used Garlic roll for broccoli dip and jalopeno for Spin Madeline

Luther's was pretty lousy BBQ.

Yeah,I figured it was, I was little when I had it and it was most likely my first experience with smoked foods. We never made anything like that at home and I don't remember going to any other BBQ restaurant in NOLA before I moved away.

Gum without artificial sweeteners.

I'm gonna make bank as soon as my grove of chicle trees mature.

I had forgotten about those Morton frozen spice donuts - so good. And I loved Pop Rouge too. McKenzie's - I don't remember the Broadway rolls - what were they? My favorites were the turtle cookies, and a special they didn't have all the time - it was a pound cake in a loaf pan and I think they called it marble pound cake. It had three flavors - strawberry, chocolate and yellow cake - like neopolitan pound cake. Have never seen that anywhere else. When they had it as a special I would buy quite a few and freeze them.

Wow. Forgot about that Marathon caramel bar.

Although I never went to the BR location, I used to love that place as a kid. They had a riser you could stand on as a kid and watch them make pizzas. My face was pressed up against the glass in fascination. Loved the old movies they would show and they had a decent game room with pinball (back in the day). I remember being able to try different pizzas on their buffet and it was the first time I tried a Hawaiian pie with pineapple and back bacon (Canadian bacon).

Surprised nobody said Kraft Garlic Cheese Roll. Can't make the original Spinach Madeline without it

It was also pretty famously an ingredient in people's garlic cheese grits.

The Chef Boyardee Pizza kits are still around. My older brother made those all the time growing up and I love them. I'll find one now.

They still make the El Charrito frozen dinners - I have seen them at Wal-Mart and Winn Dixie. Chef Boyardee still makes the cheese and pepperoni pizza. Have seen them at every grocery store. Box design has changed and now they call it "Pizza Kit". LINK

there was a Pasquali's pizza in monroe ISTR that played old black & white movies.

i also miss swensons and seal-lily ice cream shop.

its rare to find 1 cent ford gum these days as well (with the actual labelled gum) but i have both an authentic ford gumball machine and also the actual gum so that doesnt count because i wander over there every day & have one

Ding Ding Ding...winner.

I was in there about once a week. The only thing uncomfortable was Veronica's mom telling me that I need to pray to God every time I went. The food tasted better at lunch because Jimmy wasn't there blasting the news on TV.

Veronica (Ronnie) will always have a place in my heart because the national dish of Jamaica is Ackee and was on my bucket list to try. She made it especially for me.

Quickkick sports drink. Lemon lime flavor. Much better than Gatorade, poweraid, 10k, etc.

I remember them selling this in a vending machine at the tennis center I took tennis lessons at when I was like 7 or 8 years old

That and All-Sport were much better than Gatorade and PowerAde.
