Tommy's is coming back baw, those imposters at commodores won't know what hit them.

But did you eat there in the weeks before they closed for the kitchen renovation? My friend and I went for lunch one day and the waitress told us that they changed the recipe for the "sweet sauce" because some of the cooks were making it too sweet. We both ordered sweet sauce and it tasted hardly different from the zesty except it had an overload of oregano and was now bitter. Pizza was awful. I think they re-open after the 4th but even though Commodore's isn't that great, I would take it over Tommy's now.

RIP sweet sauce. I know not everyone loved you. But yes the pizza situation is Hammond is abysmal.

I moved back to Louisiana in 2002 and was never summoned for jury duty until I registered to vote against Joe Biden. I was never summoned based on driver's license alone. Since re-registering to vote, I've been summoned twice in a 9 month period and got excused based on medical disability.

THIS - almost every time I vote, within 2 months or less I get a jury duty notification. And in Tangipahoa Parish, they send a deputy to your house with the summons and you have to sign for it because people were ignoring the mailed notifications. Have a relative 79 years old and after 70 you're exempt, and they still send the deputy to her house with the summons and she has to tell them what the law is.
1. People who splash so much water after using the restroom sink, it looks like Shamu just gave a performance.

2. One person in particular who never contributes even $1 when money is being collected for anything including a plant to send to someone who had a death in the family, but then will ask everyone repeatedly to help Braxton's volleyball team by purchasing a dozen Krispy Krene donuts for $25. :banghead:

Duff's smorgasborg eatery? Food circulated on a continually running conveyor loop. You self served like a feeding trough. Very old school very cool. I remember one at Hammond Square. Did Cortana have one?

Have lived in Hammond since long before Hammond Square was built and worked in the Sears when the mall opened in 77. It never had a Duff’s. It did have: Sizzler, Cucos, Morrisons Cafeteria, Orange Julius, Chick-fil-A, and a corn dog lemonade place. I don’t remember Cortana having a Duff’s either and I went there frequently through the years.

As terrible as that one is I still say that's better than the the ones where some customer is sitting on a couch with an employee talking about how some minor interaction changed their life...it's a bland chicken sandwich restaurant...they ain’t curing cancer in that drive thru

And the current worst one of the customer on the couch is the obviously gay dad who held up the drive through line because he was overcome with emotion and couldn’t order his damn food because he had just dropped off Braylen at college. He almost starts crying on the couch just reminiscing about it. Man up you wuss.

Back in the 60s and 70s, there was a popular wedding reception punch made with chilled gingerale, and some kind of sherbet, either orange or lime I think. Back then, it went well with a piece of wedding cake and most common folk served it for their daughter's wedding

I remember that punch well. It was ginger ale, 7Up, and either lime or pineapple sherbet. It was seriously at every shower and wedding back then.

Rouses has the Dr. Pepper float flavor. Wish they’d do Barqs root beer float flavor next.
Local media is never going to ask that. Would need drunk Bobby Hebert to ask.

Even possums saying frick this dump, I’m outta here.
Not surprised. When that helicopter crashed and killed Vic Morrow and two small children, during the making of that Twilight Zone movie, John Landis the director, and five others involved were all acquitted. Those children shouldn’t have even been allowed to work at 2:00 in the morning.
Got a lemon one last week at Rouse's - they didn't have any apple. The lemon filling was thin and it seemed like the crust was thicker than it used to be - just wasn't very good and at $2.49 won't be buying again.
WWL considering the girl on the right to be K-Dog's replacement.

Hammond had one back in the 70s and 80s too and it was always legit. Chicken was so good and i especially loved their onion rings which were more like onion strings. Amazing. The only thing I didn’t care for was back then you got a store bought dinner roll with the meal. They weren’t doing biscuits back then, but minor complaint. I think there’s only a couple of locations left. Solid chain.
