Unlike most of the OT, I don't mock New Orleans unnecessarily and consider it one of the top food cities In the world. But having NOLA anywhere near a BBQ list is the absolute height of stupidity.
Oh and F&DB goddamnit. WRONG BOARD!

lol. New Orleans and San Antonio both are drastically overrated on this list. And I’m having a hard time believing Vegas isn’t waaay too high

there's not much in the way of BBQ in any part of south Louisiana

Only places in san antonio are the recent spots the local media has been tying to prop up through their influencers. The list is rubbish.

The BEST bbq I had was from Wilber's in Golsboro, NC. You do have to like the vinegar sauce to even think its good.

lol what
I used to have a client from Buffalo. About a decade ago she came down to Dallas, and we took her and a couple of her colleagues to eat BBQ for lunch. I don’t think any of them liked it, and my client (late 40’s) admitted she thought “BBQ” was hot dogs and hamburgers.
Maybe things have changed a lot in the last 10 years.

There’s a bill Miller bbq on every corner. Read the criteria. It’s not hard to understand why the list might not be accurate

Texas takes it for me because Memphis/Alabama areas don't do beef. Pig only.
I was in a BBQ place in Mobile and never looked at the menu and asked for brisket. The older lady waitress looked at me and said "honeys we aint got no brisket all we gots it poke."
First place I ever had BBQ that didn't serve beef. The banana pudding though in the South is TOPS.
I like KC BBQ better than Texas but that my opinion.
