There is a good place in Grand Isle (or maybe Fouchon) at this marina. Someone on here probably knows the name

Toopsie's is good, but it's pretty expensive. I didn't like their catfish much though.

Ernesto's - Monroe

The best salsa I've ever had. Their food is decent, but definetely not authentic Mexican.

okay really... Sno's and Country Kitchen in Gonzales??? They don't deserve to be on this list at all. Sno's has progressively gotten more terrible through the years... Country Kitchen aint much better.. And give me a break about Berthelot's!!! They used to be so good, then in the past 7-10 years have gotten progressively worse as well... It's like no one cares anymore!

now there is a blast from the past.. Haven't stopped there in about 35 years. What about that bar b q place in town that serves soul food lunches, by the tobacco place and kinda across from the old Andersons business?

Boudin King - Crowley, La

Boudin King is in Jennings. In Crowley it's called Cajun Way.

Also, I'd add DC's Sports Bar and Grill in Eunice. The service is often pretty bad, but the food is always very good.

Correct.

The fact that "The Rocket" in Jennings, LA is not on this list is astounding. Best burgers in the state.

If you ever are driving up LA Hwy. 9 heading into Arkansas (Like anyone would want to be going to ArKansas. ) stop in the Rebel Stop. They make some of the best hamburgers you can find...big homemade, handpressed patties.

There are a number of places in New Roads you could add.

Ma Mama's--nicer
Morel's--in between
Magnolia--casual

also the Not Ya Mama's in Morganza is awesome, the one in Livonia is not as good and significantly more expensive

Peavine's is about to reopen at Frenier as Gilligan's on the Lake. 985-224-8332

We stopped at Crab Trap last Sunday for BBQ shrimp and crabs and a nectar snowball for dessert.
