Lil's G's in Belle Chasse is outstanding. I saw Chef KD in there one time. He was driving down to fish in Venice or Buras.

The Black Velvet oyster bar and grill; Buras,LA
Best oysters anywhere, trust me. Just like "Tom's Place" in Empire used to be.

bctigagirl I see you're from the parish.

+1 I always order the #9. A breast, wing, french fries, coleslaw, and a roll...and their coleslaw is hard to beat.

Just make sure you go on Thursday. That's the day they change the oil. Of course, the food's still good on Friday.

Is this the place on the water out in the middle of nowhere? If so it is awesome. It is north of I-10.

I think Lafleur's Jr. in Walkers fried catfish is second to none, that includes Middendorfs. They are a small place but they always seem to impress me. Everything i've had there is good, But my favorite is the fried catfish. Also the gumbo is solid.

I vote for Lafleur's Jr. in Walker.
