I second Murky Waters in OS, ten times better bbq than The Shed, and better beer selection, too.

It's a fine stop on the way to the beach with kids. Let them run around, have a few beers and some OK barbeque. That's about it.

We will sometimes stop on the way home from Florida and just buy a chicken and some ribs to go. It is fine. I have eaten there once or twice. It is ok.

100% Agree with Murky Waters. Much better food, atmosphere and beer selection than Shed.

Go to murky waters BBQ in downtown ocean springs instead. A million times better. Get burnt ends if they gave them.

It was ok, I was disappointed. When we were done, I remember thinking "this is what all the fuss is about?"

Yep - in 2015. So they're probably not nearly as bad BBQers as they're being made out to be. Sounds like they just don't know how to run a restaurant. I've never been, so I can't comment.

Been twice. It's right off the interstate, so a convenient stop when passing through. Decent place to sit outside if the weather is good.

Meat was cooked a bit too long for me, and the sauce was sugar-packed.

The main disappointment was lack of smoke flavor. I saw no wood pile on premises and never smelled smoke in the air. I'm guessing they use gas ovens, as many BBQ restaurants do theses days. Anyone know?

After what they did to the employees at the location they used to have in Mobile I will never ever give them another dollar. They snuck in in the middle of the night and removed most of the equipment and chained the door shut. Arriving employee's in the morning had no idea, never even received a phone call or anything. The employees were never paid any outstanding wages and many of the suppliers were also never paid. This was not long after the original store went up in flames in somewhat mysterious circumstances.

Oh not to mention the douche of an owner laughing on a TV interview about the closing as people were losing their jobs and not getting paid. Real class act there..

Keep in mind the vast majority of this board is made up of hipsters who wear skinny jeans, ride fixies, hate anything song that makes it on the radio, and any restaurant that gets put on television.

It would be more accurate to say the majority of this board will give their opinion of a restaurant they have never been to.

With that being said, The Shed is far from the best BBQ, but it's not bad by any means. Worth the stop.

'bout sums it up. Go on the weekend with friends and have fun. Every once in a while, funky is fun.
