The sandwich is great, but the lines are too damn long now. Every time I try to go, I end up changing plans because I don'f feel like waiting. The one by my house constantly has a line that backs up into the street and this seems to happen at all times of the day.

Just use grubhub. 1 dollar delivery and you don't have to wait in line.

It's not as if Popeyes pre sandwich wasn't already slow as snails shitting. Add in the overhype and the ridiculous in-the-street lines and you have yourself a fast food joint that takes longer than Bennigans

I've never used grubhub, but a lot of times, I'm on the road for work and don't have that option

COVID has ruined fast food in general. Lines during the weekday lunch rush are insane ever since people started getting back to work

But, just order ahead in the app. Even Popeyes can get you food quick brought straight to your car curbside while everyone else just waits in line.

The hype here has died down and they're not that crowded anymore.

Service is still pretty slow, especially if you want dem spicy thighs.

you think that's bad.... I haven't been able to get Canes all covid. It is by FAR the worst place to get since this started. At least in Shreveport. Lines as long as Chicfila but each order takes 20x longer. And I literally mean 20x. I tried once... And even though I started all the way around the drive through by the front doors. I was like they only make one thing it'll go by quick. Moved one car link in 15 min. Left to go get chicfila.... and they close at 8 now!?! Got whataburger.

I've found at the Cane's by my house, the drive through line moves pretty fast. It's not taking much longer than it did pre COVID.
The key is not to go by any fast food place from noon to 1 p.m. That's when the lines are wrapping around the building or hanging out into the street.

Yep. I live around the corner from one, and the busy street its on will be stopped because the drive-thru is spilling into the road. They've got to be printing money.

I pass one near me all the time and it's always packed, more so since the virus. The cars were blocking traffic in the street. They finally employed two officers to make 3 lines in the parking lot to lesson the problem. Their business is booming. And, don't even go near the place if they're having a give away.

It's not the sandwich, it's because most locations are just doing drive thru service.

You do know there is an app you can order from? You pull up and they bring it out. I will never do Popeyes any other way now.

Popeyes sucks.

They had horrible service WAY before this chicken sandwich came out. Far worse than ANY other fast food place.

This chicken sandwich fad just makes a bad place worse.

So glad I quit Popeyes long before it got really awful.

Popeyes near my spot in Chicago doesn't have drive thru. Makes it much easier to pop-in, grab the sandwich, and get out in five minutes.

If it's like the one by me it's partially because the inside if closed.
And yeah for both lunch and dinner they block one late of the highway with the drive thru line.

Raisin Canes and Chik Fil A do as well, but not as bad as Popeyes.
