And they have done zero renovations since. In 85 my dad would take me there on the way to school every week or two. Hotcakes and sausage for me. Sausage biscuit for dad. Old man Valuzo (sp) was often in there barking at me to pay attention in school. He’d die again if he saw the customer service in his stores now.

10oz is enough for a family to share??
There are a limited amount of photos online of the cans.
To answer your question. No. But to my point, ten ounces is a single serving of basically syrup. Soft drinks now come in 20 ounce bottles. Twice that amount.
The big cans can be compared to the large cans of V8 that are still available.
46 ounces.

Greatest hangover cure in existence.
Was never carbonated/still not to this day.

Yeah if I’m not mistaken they briefly brought it back

“If you’ve got time to lean, you’ve got time to clean.”
I worked there briefly in ‘82. I took a pay cut and got a job at Dairy Queen instead. It was a much less oppressive atmosphere and they weren’t as uptight about us eating the product.

Pretty sure it's just Hi-C orange. I was so annoyed when they got rid of it.
I only eat McD's a couple times a year and I went a couple months ago and saw they brought it back. They got rid of it, replaced it with Fanta Orange but now that's gone and it's Hi-C again.
It's so good. Glad they brought it back.

I googled it and it was available until 2017. At some point in the 80’s or 90’s it started being served as Hi-C Orange Lavaburst. Not sure if there was a recipe change. I definitely don’t remember it after the mid-80’s, but that’s about the time i probably thought it was a kids drink.
I also remember my school would get a bunch of it from McDonald’s for Field Day.

So being a fry-cook and/or ice cream server was actually more glamorous than most posters think?

I still go to McDonalds- maybe once a month.
Mainly for the fries.
But I miss it being special when I was a kid in the late 70’s
When did the stop doing birthday parties at McD’s? In the 90’s???

Haha!
In those days nothing was computerized so when there was a rush it was fast paced and stressful.
And rush meant 5 deep at 4 operating registers.
The person doing the expediting was critical. They regulated how much to cook at a time and when. Too little and it backed up. Too much and there was a lot of waste.
Of course it was only stressful if you actually cared about doing a good job. And I did.

Orange Hi-C Non-carbonated
Posted on 3/16/22 at 10:28 pm to The Spleen
I got some orange Hi-C at the store tonight. We'll see how close it is to the old school one McD's had.
Orange ocean is what I got at the store.
I remember seeing that Lavaburst on the fountain drinks at McD's but I don't recall seeing it in stores but honestly, I rarely go down that juice aisle. This thread made me want some.

I use to love it, when I had it recently (could have been 5+ years ago or longer) it was like drinking syrup it was so sweet. I will just have to fondly remember it, kind of like I fondly remember 1/4 pounders with cheese tasted great as a kid but now they are bites full of disappointment.
