I know the menu is still now fully opened as of yet per the FB page

I went on Friday night.
Pros:
you don't smell like an ashtray when you leave
Solid porch
good beer selection
food menu looked good (kitchen was closed)
good wine list
Cons:
didn't add a extra bathroom. Still just two toilets in the place.
The bar is still small.
It was packed when we left around 10ish. A lot of people were struggling to get drinks but it wasn't too bad for us.
Definitely have a few kinks to work out but I think it could do really well.
It will be more of restaurant that you go to get drunk at rather than a bar that has food if that makes sense.
I could see my self going on a Saturday afternoon and staying for awhile.

The photo that the construction company posted of the interior makes it look like an entire different place. Impressive.
I'll head out there sometime, but probably wait a little bit. The owner, employees, and design crew all seem to be fairly well-known/have lots of friends in BR, and I think that is contributing to the crowd right now.

My cousin mentioned that the outdoor tables are directly under the billboard sign where the birds constantly still hang out on... She said watch for bird shite!

They will probably have to do something about that.

A friend of mine lives nearby and went for the soft opening. Was not blown away, but said it will be a solid addition to the area. Likened the menu to CP Brasserie

Do you know what they had as options?
Also is it mostly on draft or is this a bottle/can kind of place?

mix of both. Like 12 taps
I had Dr hop and Osker blues IPA on tap
decent bottle line up from what I can tell.

We went Saturday, mainly to drink. It's very nice in there. Doesn't look like the old Zee Zees at all. Pretty decent beer selection. They had a limited menu and we had eaten lunch before going, so we just ended up getting a flatbread. It was pretty tasty.
There was a bit of drama because some kid with a tattooed face had to get tossed because he was acting a fool. He wouldn't leave and kept trying to sneak back in, so the police took him to jail. The kid really didn't fit in with the rest of the folks there, who were younger professional/service industry types.
Unless they really screw it up, this place should be a gold mine. I imagine The Merchant will be a regular stop for us.

I'm excited to try this place. Glad Nick Hufft moved on from Barcadia

They still have the golden tee and the jukebox or did they remove it?

Sounds solid
I'll have to stop by next time I'm in town.

The other guy running the show is a real good guy as well. Looking forward to checking it out next time I'm in Br.

Both are gone. It's a real clean, classy type place.

That's a pretty drastic difference from the beat up look of ZeeZee's.
Between that and Chelsea's being turned into an "upscale" restaurant, the Overpass part of town is going to be completely different than it was 3 years ago. Not sure if that's better or worse for BR.

I am not really sure how Chelsea's being upscale is going to work
It's a massive space to fill up. Part of the reasons Chelsea's was always packed was the price point. $2 pbr and rolling rock + 8 sandwich
I am not sure how many people in br are dieing for another spot to spend $20 a plate at.
The owners know the area so it will be interesting
