Y.A. just hypothesized that your life's existence is the equivalent of a Tulane LSU alter trying to be intentionally dumb.
:lawd:

Posted by Rohan2Reed Keep at it. I'm sure one day soon the Times-Picayune dining section will hire you out of the blue to be their new food editor.
That has to be joke, but then again so is the TP.

That's just the dumb alter ego, though.

The most amazing thing to me was that he was able to secure a screenname like "TulaneLSU" like 8-10 years into the existence of the site. Figured that would've gone pretty fast.

Do tell...but how the hell does he have all this fricking time to make daily Bible and movie review topics and top 10 food and have time to eat at every NOLA resturant including Stella a dozen times and Commanders over 100 times and make 2 pilgrmages to Florida and have the blacktip shark at Red Lobster

Only about 4 years after the Genesis.
But, still...

parents are loaded. often leads to feelings of superior self-worth and a condescending tone that permeates any and all discussion of religion, politics and local food & culture.
underneath lies severe insecurity issues.

You are correct in that your list is not definitive. Not a single representative from our unique French heritage, but two representatives from Italy. Sorry, your list fails without including Antoine's. It hasn't lasted this long without being essential to New Orleans dining.

The funny thing with him though is that he is being condescending in a clever way that makes fun of the other condescending types.

First list you made that I've eaten at every place at..
Central Groecery is a must stop place when I bring people to town, though I personally prefer Nor-Joes.
K-Pauls is high up there for me.
I think Aldolpho's is better than Impasato's in that category.
Lil Dizzy's is excellent.
Commander's is my personal favorite fine dining spot, but I honestly need to try more that's the area I in which I seem to try the least new places.

I don't feel like getting dressed up often. Don't feel like shelling out that type of money on food often either.
I tend to eat out by myself every now and then as well. Feels funny doing that in a finer restaurant.

Galatoires. But, I'd probably have to agree that Antoines would be more "essential" in that category.
Hell, it's arguably the most "essential" restaurant in New Orleans, regardless of the fact that it's mostly terrible these days.

exactly. Even though many have bars. It's just not the same.
I want to try August, Stella, Luke, RioMar, Antoine's and a few others. I usually use dates to try the nicer places..

Patois.
If you have yet to try Patois...you should.
