Just went to Finn's I had a job in Mid-City before hand and I knew two people up there so I figured it was the place to be.

I'm going to the Casino this weekend so I'll make it a point to stop at Gordon Biersch to try "this supposed #1". But the thing is, most chains don't use that good of meat.

I was there yesterday from 1-6 in the afternoon. Boo Koo burger, Nola Blonde pints and two incredible soccer matches makes for a great afternoon.

I was talking to Lee today, he said he is smoking a pig Sunday. I have to come back and try that.

I was in and out quick today. Had someone place my order before I got there, bartender had my pint of Smithwick's as soon as I sat down. I was out fifteen minutes later, still full.

I wanted to try something else new, but it had been over two weeks with out a BooKoo burger.

Does he have a new smoker? The ones he usually uses couldn't fit a whole pig. I'll be there early for an Arsenal match. Not sure I'll make it until a pig is done.

I was the guinea pig for the smoked chicken sandwich. It is top notch.

I need to get him to make me something, II got a bottle of his BBQ sauce for a smoke off I did at my house last weekend. Had a bottle from BooKoo, Hillbilly, Joint and Smoking Buddha. BooKoo has a very unique BBQ sauce, with some herbs in it I can't figure out, plus a good bit of dill. Makes for a great accent for pork or chicken.

I didn't ask if he has a new smoker but I know he was talking about a Bayou Keg a while back, but maybe he borrowed one for the weekend.
Hell I know a Honduran family that does a pig every month and have a pig sized smoker, I may have to borrow it.

Never ever underestimate the all too popular FDB Burger threads to draw huge interest.

Alright, well while I'm admittedly not the NOLA burger authority as it's not what I think of when I eat out in New Orleans, so I haven't tasted all the ground meat sandwiches available in the city and surrounding areas, but I'd say that the Swamp Room in Metairie has to be considered at the very least. Pretty damn good burger if you ask me. Much better than the all too typical pucks you get from most joints, and nice bread if memory serves me.

That place was a weekly tradition for me and I have a friend that works there and all, but these new places are really good. Now as far as Swamp Room goes, you can't beat their $9.99 Filet Mignon on Friday nights.

I almost went there for lunch yesterday around 1! But the work people I went with ended up changing their minds and wanted to go to Little Tokyo.

I would stop in tomorrow a.m. and have a brew with ya...but I tend to think that drinking before I take my concealed gun permit class might be frowned upon.

Wanted to update my post about Bombay Club. I went last night to get my favorite burger in town. Unfortunately, they retained the services of a new executive chef, who trained under Emeril. It appears hamburgers are beneath him, and they no longer serve them.

I had a really solid burger today at katie's in Mid-City.

After I eat one at GB Saturday I'm going to retire from burgers for a few months.

I put on too much weight eating out every day, so I'm going back to making my own food. ...and an occasionl cheat.

I would say Katie's burger is easily in my top 10 replacing Copeland's at 10, but if I was telling a friend to go to Katie's there are at least a dozen other menu items I like there I would recommend. Like above post many people think a burger is beneath them, especially at a place that for $5 more you can buy the most expensive entree on the menu.

To anyone wanting to try Cheeseburger Eddie's, dont.

Probably the worst burger I've ever eaten.

Have you ever had the Cajun burger at Checkpoint Charlie's in the Foburg-Marigny? It's pretty epic.
