Is the increased availability due to more production, more competition, or less of it going out in trades?

Some body needs to do one of those polls on the top 20 Louisiana beers and the compare it to the same poll in 2013. The difference in the quality of beer will be astounding.

Well they certainly ramped up production considering it is coming out every month or two as opposed to twice a year

More production. They outsourced a lot production of envie, southcoast, and canebrake to that Florida facility so they could focus more on ghost and specialty beers in broussard.

There is certainly more competition and less trading since it became less "rare" but it is still a great DIPA. People compare Juicifer and Final Resting Place but Jucifer is a single and I've only had FRP twice (two four packs) and one was inconsistent like Ghost use to be

Jucifer is fine, but not comparable. It and envie are a little too carbonated for me.

I had the same experience with FRP. The stuff hp sent me was fantastic. The stuff I bought in Shreveport and had in tap in Shreveport was very meh. At its best, it's on par with ghost though.

Ghost to me still edges it out for being more orange juice if that sounds right, FRP I found a bit more bitter.

Not sure ghost being more readily available is “jumping the shark”. Sure it may have lost some of the novelty but is still a great beer. I’m sure you can still trade it 1:1 or at least 1:1.5 for most beers in the country.

Not really.

Like I said earlier, final resting place is up there when it's at its best.

Nothing else that is as readily available as ghost is now is on par with it. The key part of this is the as readily available. There's certainly stuff that is as good, but it's limited release stuff.

Yeah I'd agree with that.

That first 4 pack I had of it was fantastic though.

I mean even some of the limited stuff in La isn't as good... Urban South does a great single IPA but not a double, Miel and Parleaux each had a good one but Courtyard would be the only one. However, there are times all of their beers taste the same

And some stuff is inconsistent from year to year as well.

I loved hopback in 2017, but the most recent batch I felt was pretty bad.

G&G is great, but I remember a batch maybe in 2017 that was terrible. Rhinestone is great this year, but it took a few batches to get to where it is today.

Gnarvana was great, but I heard iffy thinks about forest from multiple people.

Rhinestone isn't Ghost, FoF is a DIPA but it sucked, G&G I haven't had a batch I liked in years it seems. I'm almost over all GR products but Rhinestone saved them

Oh yeah it's not ghost, but I like it. Celestial does a wheat IPA that is incredible.

The most recent G&G was pretty good. Not sure when I'll be able to get the one that releases today.

I like GR but they don't distribute much of the really good stuff.

The taproom is decent. They have some cool events. The beer is great. Them and turning point are the best of the best.

Didn't make it to turning point, did Tupps which had great beer but it was fricking hot. Found the best beer bar in or around Dallas as well.
