Thanksgiving dinner in Baton Rouge
Posted by jctiger73 on 11/17/20 at 5:35 am00
I need suggestions for a good place to pick up Thanksgiving dinner to bring home. I'm looking for the traditional foods - baked turkey, cornbread dressing, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, etc.
Happy Turkey Day!

Maxwells Market has Holiday menu with either a la carte or entire meal options. We usually get a couple of their sides and they have always been good.

It’s funny because I feel like the entire feast price is pretty reasonable considering what I’d spend making food for 7-8 people.

I'm interested in finding some place in town that offers turkey serving 6 people with minimal if any left over. We are going out of town Friday.

I am with you LL. $225 to feed 8 is a steal when it saves all the time it takes to cook all that.

Last Thanksgiving my family came up here to visit. We probably spent about $200 before wine because it seemed like a waste of the little time we had together to spend it cooking and cleaning. It was a great decision.

Not Baton Rouge, but if you have the time to make the drive, Kartchner's is very cheap.
I was planning to take a drive to stock up on freezer foods anyway, so might grab a few misc sides for Thanksgiving.

I get those little loaf pans of the spinach quite often. Have several in the freezer now. They're close to spinach madeleine.
