I will be in New Orleans next weekend and have a read a few things on here about it. After looking online it seems like a great spot for a quick lunch before heading to jazz fest on Friday. I remember seeing a pic of their soft shell crab poboy in the sandwich thread from a month ago but didnt see it on their online menu. Do they have different things on the board depending on the what they have? What do you recommend?

ETA: the mid city location

Good food, but be prepared for a wait. I was in there just a couple days ago and they had only 1 gal behind the counter taking orders and scrambling to give out everything from lunch trays, crawfish and shrimp servings, po-boys and drinks while also working the register.

With all the food choices at jazz fest why would you eat lunch before going?
Not being a smart arse, serious question.

You can get a soft-shell crab blt if they have crabs available. It's awesome.

If not I highly recommend The Cure

Yeah I might not go before jazz fest just spit balling. I will be in town for a few days and those sandwiches are intriguing.

I love the peacemaker poboy there. Fried shrimp with roast beef gravy and cheese.

I'd have to get both. It'd be a $25 lunch.

I'm not a fan of smoked gouda, which is why I prefer the others over the Smokey Oyster. If you like smoked gouda I'm sure you'll love it, though.
