My father in law is coming tonight and we are too lazy to cook (we have a one and a half year old and my wife is 7 months pregnant). We were trying to think of someplace to get good takeout. We have eaten at LaCarettas a couple of times with him so I was hoping for something different. He doesnt really like Chinese food. Anyone have any good suggestions? I can go anywhere from downtown to corporate blvd to pickup.

Spend $4.99 and get Delivery Express to bring it to your door. Good choice of restaurants and prompt service.

You've got some solid pizza joints: Fleur de Lis, Reginelli's and Rotolo's.
And there are good Greek/Lebanese places: Albasha on Corporate, Roman's, Arzi's and Serop's.
Anthony's Italian Deli is open until 6 p.m. today, according to the internet.

I hate both of those places, especially reginellis. Is that slice joint on Tulane still open? I forgot the name.

Of course, you could always keep it real, and pick up McHardees.

There's a mid city or mid town in plenty cities.

Can NOLA really claim the real mid city?

Mid City Pizza, Bevi Seafood, Mandina's, and Jaun's Flying Burrioto are all solid choices.

Nope. They can't claim the real mid city. Just the best mid city.

I can't find a list of their restaurants and it looks like you can only access the service with a phone app, not with a PC.

Waitr app/service works great. Their list of restaurants is growing and growing with 30 or so restaurants in Nola and over 100 restaurants in Baton Rouge. It's a welcomed thing for customers and restaurant owners.

Guess from here on out we need to clarify mid city BR vs mid city Nola. Honestly midcity in BR has a lot of good places to choose from.
