Sunday afternoon Lafayette eats

Taking my son to the WWE show in Lafayette this Sunday night, and I'd like to grab a bite
to eat somewhere before the show, around 5pm. Any type of cuisine will do. Suggestions?

Cafe Habana City just around the corner from the Cajun Dome.

Agave is across the street and had pretty good tex mex and margaritas.

Deano's Pizza and BJ's pizza is also right nearby.

Well, Judice Inn, Olde Tyme Grocery, and Pop's are closed on Sunday, so go to Pete's on Johnston. It's a sports bar but owned by the guys next door (Social), it will be great for you and your son.
ETA; as earlier posted, if you want to go the pizza route Deano's is a good choice and you're right around the corner from the CajunDome.

Restaurants that are open on Sundays in Lafayette are very scarce, and the ones that are open usually close around 2pm, therefore most of the Lafayette specific places I would usually recommend in Lafayette are not available.
Noticing that you said any cuisine will do, I'm assuming that you might be adventurous eaters, so you've got a few ethnic places that will be open.
Osaka - One of the best kept secrets about this place is that about a decade ago it used to be a Korean restaurant. The same owners decided there would be more money in rolling cream cheese in rice, so they decided to reopen as a "Japanese" restaurant. The Japanese food is laughable, but they still retain what they do best...a Korean menu upon request. They have a pork belly dish which you roll in lettuce with Korean chili paste, also a good spicy squid stir fry, and also Bibimbap. They open at 5pm on Sundays.
Masala - Decent Indian food, and they open at 5pm as well.
Zen Noodles and Grill (3809 Ambassador Caffery Pkwy) - Killer Vietnamese food, and they're open all day on Sundays.
Rouse's - I'm not sure of the Bertrand location, but the newer one on Johnston street offers BBQ, very good sandwiches, sushi, etc., and you can sit down to eat. Not exactly a restaurant, but you can satisfy your hunger.
Ruffino's is open all day.
Sundays in Lafayette are when I really feel the constraints of living in a small city. Heck, even the buses don't operate.

Do yourself a favor and go to Broaddus Burger on moss st and get you a couple duck kabobs. Also, the burgers are great and the cheese sticks are da bomb. You can thank me later.

Given that it is Sunday, I would say Deanos or Agave
As mentioned by another poster, Rouses is a very underrated option if you're just looking to eat

I can tell you to not go. Don't go to Zea's. we just went for lunch and it was terrible. I used to like that place but man it was bad.
