They are all eager to return once the unemployment benefits run out.
Also, if the paid leave is granted I hope the owners buy an insurance policy to pay for private detectives to verify sick leave. My current company does this and bust a few people a year. Always hilarious.

It's not firing if they refuse to come to work.

No... no... that's actually exactly what you are doing. Not coming to work equals quitting your job.

They have decided they are a union so they are. They have no idea what they are doing or what it takes to get certified to be able to strike.
The owners are giving the employees sound legal advice because they want their employees to come back. And the employees just know that they themselves know better.

They have a zero value/zero skill job that anyone could do. Fire them and hire some high school kids that need the change.

To have a place at a bargaining table one must have something to bargain with. They have neither skills nor numbers. Bold move, Cotton.

As I once heard on Colin Cowherd's show over a decade ago, "You are only worth your value of replacement" (or something of the sorts).

I’ll put my backing with Redmann. I’m pretty sure that nobody on this board knows why the name of her coffee shop is called “Still Perkin”. It’s a dig at the former owner of PJ’s and former CEO. Hence, Redmann was the franchisee of the PJ’s prior to Still Perkin choosing not to go down the path of the guidelines of the PJ’s demands. So, after a short legal battle she closed for the weekend and reopened as Still Perkin.
Keep the fight Redmann, new employees who want a job will come in and apply.
