Slice makes a really bland pizza. Not sure where all the love comes from.

My fiancée had a pizza with some cured ham from the shoulder (picap?? Sp?) that was really spicy and it also had marscapone and basil on the pizza. Was a top 3 pizza I have ever had.

They cure and prepare all of their meats in house at Ancora. Really good stuff.

I had some great pizza in New Orleans. I think it was from a place called Mango Mango. Kinda expensive but it was very good. Nothing fancy but it was tasty.

I wish we had a pizza place like that here in Lake Charles. The pizza places here suck. If one of those owners of those pizza places would open a place here, they would make a killing. The ones here are horrible.

The best pizza here is at Sam's. It's good but it's nothing like you can get in New Orleans.

I had Rocky's earlier this week. Really enjoyed it, although I thought it was overpriced. Reminded me of a prime Papa John's thin crust, which, IMO, is the best chain pizza. The sauce was delicious and toppings ample, if not heavy. Rocky's would probably enter my top ten.

After thinking about TulaneLSU guide to NOLA pizza I would drop Mo's out completely. I've really gotten to the point where I don't like Mo's. I like the atmosphere and the toppings and the memories of eating there, but based on pizza alone, I have grown out of my love for Mo's.
