What should I cook w/ them? Looking for some recipes... I think I would prefer to use them as a sauce or accompaniment as opposed to the central ingredient.

my grandma used to cook them down with some "heavy cream" and make ice cream with them. I was very young, don't have the recipe, but it was heavenly ....

I am pretty sure it was LL that was talking about making a sauce for pork with them last year.

I made some preserves with the first harvest today. Nothing really crazy. Did add something different to each jar. Vanilla, honey bourbon, rosemary, candied ginger. So we will see how those turn out.

Not really enough to do a whole lot with them, I can picture a fig sauce with Grand Marnier over pork pieces.

Fig and goat cheese
That will work.
Also, Fig and Brie with a little honey.
Last New Years Eve, R2R and I collaborated on a nice stuffed fig with herbed ricotta wrapped in bacon.
He may have linked pics here.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Emeril's mustard crusted rack of lamb with fig chutney.

Slice in half, grill, and then drape prosciutto over it. That is probably the best way to enjoy figs. If you must cook with them any roasted meat will be a good choice.

Fig preserves are delicious. I like them with goat cheese.
The cafe by my house is doing a special panini today that is fig jam, goat cheese, arugula, and prosciutto. Sounds awesome.
