I stopped at Bergeron's in Gonzales yesterday and tried their smoked boudin. All I can say is this was some of the best tasting food I have ever eaten!!! It seems to be a mixer of smoked pulled pork and ground pork for the meat. Sadly I only bought one link along with some boudin balls and cracklin. The boudin balls and craclkin were ok but I've had better.
Has anybody here made boudin using pulled pork? I'm sure going to try once I get moved.

Had a hot, smoked link from Ronnie's this morning with a hot Mary Lee's glazed for breakfast. Two coworkers brought them in. Best breakfast I've had in a long time.

Smoked boudin from Kartchner's in Krotz Springs is excellent. My favorite boudin period.

This thread made me go get an lb from the Best Stop today. Aaaaaaaaand I got some regular boudin, boudin stuffed pork chops, baby back ribs, hog head cheese, and a 25oz Bud Light. Thanks OP, you’re the reason I’m fat today.

I personally pass Ronnie's to go to Begeron's for smoked Boudin. While you are on that side of the river grab some chicken sausage at Benoit's.

My personal favorite is the smoked boudin at T-Jim’s in Cottonport. Their smoked blood boudin is awesome, too.

I had 2 links of their regular. It was pretty good but there coming was a little tough.

Oh man, I like it 10x better than regular.. and I love regular.

I've stuffed cornish hens with Ronnie's smoked boudin and shredded pepper jack cheese. Basted with homemade pepper jelly. That is good eating

I'm surprised at the down votes I'm getting. I much prefer the regular way.
