I like unhealthy food occasionally but I've never been to Smalls. Is this worth trying? Do you guys think this will be another successful chain from Brandon Landry?

The article says they are opening 32 more new restaurants soon.

Smalls Sliders and Panda Express have filed permits to open restaurants on Siegen Lane.

Smalls Sliders targets opening a location in the Siegen Village shopping center in April, said Tyson Frucci, a spokeswoman for the chain.

Smalls Sliders was launched in 2019 in Baton Rouge by former New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees and Walk-On's Bistreaux & Bar co-founder Brandon Landry. The restaurant has a simple menu: cheeseburger sliders cooked to order and waffle fries. The restaurants are built out of shipping containers and primarily operate as drive-thru locations, although walk-up windows are available.

Smalls Sliders has 11 locations in Louisiana and Mississippi, and a Metairie location owned by Brees is set to open in early 2024. According to the company website, 32 restaurants are opening soon, stretching from St. Louis to Pensacola, Florida.

Seems like it will do well considering they sell burgers and fries from shipping containers in parking lots and they are fairly busy. cost of opening/operating has to be pretty low

Theyre putting one smack dab in the middle of Metairie right in front of Target. It's a helluva location being that every single person that gets off the interstate there will go right by it's entrance.

Never been there but the location should kill it.

Definitely worth a try. I don't care much for sliders because the bun:burger ratio is too high. You pay a lot for bread and sauce. It's quick and convenient though.

Looks like a small footprint for a building, and I can't imagine they can fit more than 5-6 employees per shift.

I bet they can open up in smaller towns and on smaller plots of land than Cane's or Whataburger.

I had them at a golf tournament a month or so ago in BR for the first time and was pleasantly surprised at the succulent state of my taste buds during this encounter.

In BR they have been opening in parking lot space, like the one on Bluebonnet and Perkins

They're pretty good for a fast food burger. Double patties (Biggie) fixes the meat/bun ratio.

2 Biggie sliders with fries is plenty of food to fill up on.

They are solid but you can get tired of them pretty quick imo

I wish we had a Krystal over this place popping up everywhere.

How do we not have a Krystal burger?

Last time there was a thread on it, it didn't get a lot of love, but I like it. They're always a big hit when I grab a party tray for get-togethers.

I like that they do them smash style and use really melty cheese + "special sauce", versus a drier slider with just ketchup. They are pretty rich though - they must butter the buns before grilling.

I do agree that the sauce can be a little funky sometimes, though.

The Big Angus Burger was the great, so were the fries and breakfast.

I'm not a fan because I feel they are too big for what I would consider a slider and too small from a regular hamburger. They are OK IMO.

I had it for the first time a few weeks ago, and it was solid. Reminded me a lot of Freddie’s, and I like Freddie’s.

They truly have a weak Louisiana presence
