I got a small fries from Popeyes the other day for $3.84. I went home and opened up the bag. There were 12 individual fries.

"How much y'all fries?"

"32 cent each."

"Gimme 'bout three of 'em."

$15 plus minimum wage comes at a cost. Who would have thought.

This is why I try to never get a drink at places. You dont have to get a drink at Canes.

One of my college roommates (back in the 90s) got water at every single fast-food restaurant when we'd go out to eat. He was cheap like that. He'd also make up a couple of chicken and rice casseroles at the first of the week, and we'd all eat on them all week.

Somehow, he was never broke like the rest of us.

Why would anyone still go to Popeyes?

I have no idea how that garbage is still in business

Still cheaper than buying groceries. I’m not saying it’s by any means healthier than eating at home and cooking your own food but restaurants have good specials and happy hour options that simply are cheaper than walking out of the grocery store with 3 grocery bags that cost $85.

You can get a 3lb pork shoulder and a sack of rice for $10/15 and feed a family of 4 for a week. For an extra couple dollars you can throw in some veggies or lettuce and have a nutritious well rounded meal at home for your family for a week instead of a single empty meal of the lowest possible food quality.

I get what you are saying, but are you really eating pulled pork and rice for a week straight? Also, you aren't just going to buy those two ingredients unless you want a bland meal. Add in cost for seasoning and whatever is going with rice and your bill is closer to $30+. I do agree that it is still a better option though.

I thought you were incredibly wealthy, as in fly on your private Jet and have the chauffer carry your cook to the grocer wealthy?

No, No, No, you probably heard wrong. He's "Internet Wealthy" which usually means he's living at home still sponging off the proverbial familial tit, eating up all the food, enjoying the A/C, internet, cable and all the perks of having the parents still pay for everything.

Because it is delicious. I dont need someone to suck my dick and be all nice to me at a fast food joint. Just give me my food.

Look at grocery store prices and then compare it to a fast food menu.

Maybe it’s not considerably cheaper but it’s still cheaper than buying groceries at such high prices.

McDonald's and Chick-fil-a fountain drinks are generally on point.

You need to find another place to shop then...and while you're at it, do a bit of research on the food cost % metric that restaurants use to price their menu items. I can't think of any scenario where food bought from a restaurant is less expensive than the same food bought in a grocery store. Frankly, not recognizing that fact makes you sound like an idiot.
