Will be there from Friday evening-Monday lunch, time enough for six meals. Here are the choices... what six would you choose?

dtb
Paladar 511
La Boca
Brigtsen's
Compere Lapin
Seithers
Luvi
Gris Gris
N7

Would skip Baru and Kanno for Luvi.

Would do Brigsten's over Clancy's

Personal preferences obviously.

Besides Brigsten's and Dian Xin that is a list of restaurants I don't see myself going to for a long time.

It might be the best selection out of that list though.

From that list? 1. Clancy's 2. Brigtsens. LaBoca and Compare Lapin can stay on the list. I would complete the list of 6 with Commander's and Galatoire's, but that was not the question.

These are all places I've never been to. Been to Commander's (which for the record is my #1 favorite restaurant anywhere) and Galatoire's before.

Blue crab is a good place to grab a beer and overlook the marina. The food is not worth the trip.

Paladar 511 Is the first on that list for us. They have a very nice brunch.

DTB has a great brunch with bottomless mimosas and build your own bloodies. Blue oak BBQ has some ridiculous daily specials you should check out

Don’t know all those places. Clancy’s and Brightsen’s are worthy.

I know it's not on your list, but I had a tremendous meal at LaPetite Grocery last night.

The Scallops I had for an appetizer were the best I have ever eaten. Seared perfectly over a bed of baby limas, cipollini onions and other root vegetables with a citrusy sauce.

The shell fish stew with collard greens and pot licker was delicious as well. I also got a taste of my wife's celeriac and apple salad that I enjoyed too.

For some reason, I never think of this place when I go to New Orleans, but if you haven't eaten here before, add it to you list.

I think they have one of the best bbq shrimp and grits in the city. I agree that the place itself is probably not in a top 6 must eat though.

Once again I reiterate that these are all places I’ve never been to which is why they’re on the list. I appreciate the other suggestions but I’ve already been to LPG, Blue Oak, and some of the others mentioned.

Check the days and nights of the week the restaurants are open. For example, Brigtsen's would only be open for a Friday or Saturday night meal and does not serve lunch.

Also, I would put Brigtsen's at the top of the list. Chef Frank is doing quite a few specials with local products right now like creole tomato salad, chanterelle and crab bisque, fresh soft shell crab and desserts with fresh local blueberries.

From the new list I’d skip Mama’s Thai. It’s good buy pretty standard stuff if you are focusing on food.

I like kanno, mama Thai and seithers but I could not waste 1 of 6 meals on them. Don’t care for DTB. If I had to have steak, La boca works but i wouldn’t waste a meal there either. Never heard of Gris Gris

Id ad Saba and Brigsten’s (better food and you’ll be treated better than at Clancy’s)

Then

Paladar
Luvi
Compere Lapin
N7
