The only location I knew. Great joint. The lady worked magic in a closet kitchen.

White beans and cornbread was my favorite.

And all you can eat wings at lunch cooked in a big cast iron skillet at Lyman Whites, Lymans Mom made all the sides, collard greens, cornbread and thick sweet tea.

Anyone remember the chicken stew being made with fried chicken? And the bowls/plates being filled to the rim with beans...I mean just short of overflowing.

Best cornbread I have ever tasted. Almost like cake.
I actually have the Silver Moon Cookbook.

Yeah it was awesome, one of my favorites. Would always eat there then want to go home and nap instead of going to class

Mamma Seabell Thomas is still around. She does some catering out of her house in North Baton Rouge. Still in good health, and has not lost her way around a kitchen.

She has been toying with putting out a "healthy" cookbook. This I gotta see!

That YouTube video makes me a little depressed thinking how long ago 1996 was

I was a freshman at LSU.
