I think you want them fresh, once frozen, the meat doesn’t release easy, just like blue crabs claws. once they have been frozen the quality goes down

Right. I know there's some places that overnight them. I was just curious if anyone on here had any recommendations on suppliers.

I think it's the most overpriced food item in the country. I'm assuming you've had it before though and want it.

Joe's will do it I think and they are the place to do it if you're going to be charged an arm and leg anyway

I had them for the first time at Joes a couple weeks ago. I will never pay for those things again. They are basically big blue crab claws. Give me king crab all day

I did a favor for a friend and he had a batch of them shipped to me from Joe's in Miami. They came with a little wooden hammer to crack them. They were absolutely delicious. I don't know how much they cost but I know they weren't cheap.

Jesus Christ. For the price, you can go to Costco and get 20 pounds of king crab that is identical to the crab you get in restaurants.

They aren't worth the price there either. Joe's was ridiculously expensive
