Wife saw the menu for Pelican club and was good with it so that’s the plan as of now
The Pelican Club is frickING TERRIBLE.
Awful man. Do not go there, I'm not kidding.
I just looked on Resy and there are tons of places with availability tomorrow night better than that place.

Check out briquette. Never been but have always wanted to. Menu looks amazing and its basically all seafood.

I like Pelican club, and I eat at every place in this thread fairly often. I'd recommend Clancy's but I think you are probably way late, could try Patois. FYI if you haven't been downtown at night lately, it is sketchy enough that I moved my reservations uptown a few weeks ago.

Brigtsens is a nice little anniversary spot.
Wife and I had our last dinner as a family of two there a few years ago. They were great and made her a custom mocktail with flavors she wanted.
Great seafood, then the pecan pie for dessert. I'd try that, OP.

I ate there last night. It really is good.
I will add that the new Tujague's is open at 429 Decatur. They opened up in the middle of COVID restrictions so I really hope they make it.

Enjoyed our meal at The Pelican Club
$49 for 4 course meal was a great deal . Food was just good New Orleans food. Nothing trendy or out the box. Portions size left us stuffed.
Had Turtle Soup, BBQ Shrimp, Sheepshead dish, and Pecan Pie.
Wife had Turtle Soup, Baked Oysters, Lobster, and Bread Pudding
Sat us in a nice corner booth, even treated us to two glasses of champagne for our anniversary.

We went to N7 a couple of weeks ago. They have both meat and seafood selections. Great atmosphere and the food was superb. We had mussels, roasted cauliflower, duck pate and scallops.
