Anyone know where to purchase them in the BR area? I usually buy them from my hometown butcher, but I am not driving an hour just for sausage casings.

Most mom n pops grocery stores that make their own sausage will sell you a whole hank. You can keep it packed in a saturated brine solution for a very long time.
