He clearly isn't the owner.
Whoever is posting as him could find himself in legal problems if he ever wanted to pursue it. Some people just cannot get it into their thick skulls that the internet can get them in deep doo doo, cost them job opportunities or admissions into schools.

quote:Dude is a jackass. Impersonating somebody on the interwebs in Louisiana is a misdemeanor. I'm no attorney, but I'd also imagine the actual owner might even have a case for damages if he was so inclined to pursue that because of a decline in sales. Is that likely? Probably not, but still stupid either way.

This guy almost reminds me of the Kardishians(sp?) marketing strategy. Any press is good press.
Maybe he is trying to appeal to the hipster genre.
"F the man" "Down with corporate" etc...
Sounds like he lured a couple of the cool kids on the FDB in to wanting to visit his place. Maybe he's smarter than we give him credit for. I still think he's an idiot

Brah those jncos were like a 1996 vintage. Idk if he has pockets big enough to replace them.

I agree, but I also find myself dying to have one of those sammiches.

2 prominent posters in this thread ate there yesterday. His Stein schtick is clearly working.

Definitely not the case. I love food, and I love writing about it...but I also enjoy writing software, so I'll stick with that.
Of late, I have had some less than stellar experiences, but my numbers speak for themselves on the gloomy front...

And as a case study on how an owner should handle issues...if anyone was around 3 years ago and remembers how the manager of Luke handled a complaint that I had, you'll remember how he was PRAISED on this board because he was so professional and so open to fixing issues that he knew were present there.

don't. The lobster honey roll is not good. Duck fries are legit though.

No worries there. I only get to Louisiana a few times per year and if I ever get to NOLA there are many other places I'd go first, like Bubba Gumps on Decatur.

I also stopped by but just for a beer. Had a taste of a friends duck fries. They were just your run of the mill fries.
Beer was in a frosted glass.

Hmm. It seems like those are the things that consistently get praised there.
Threads like this really make me wish I still lived in South Louisiana. I have no context for the opinions. On the other hand, the entertainment value is not diminished at all.

This is exactly why I remember your username, actually.

He really was stellar. He personally called me and we talked about how he had just taken over as manager and he too had seen the issues I had experienced. He invited me to come back in to eat on the house. I told him I would love to come back, but at a time that he didn't know that it would be me. I did go back without him knowing it was me and the service was STELLAR. He apparently did a great job of turning things around, and treated his customers well in the process.

How often do your reviews result in a free meal as some form of compensation/reparation?
Posted on 3/20/15 at 9:43 am to Oenophile Brah
Close to never. Nor do I want that. If I wanted the free meal, I wouldn't have insisted on coming back without him knowing who I was.
