I've had both, for free but that's another story. I have to go with Brigsten's. Better quality, Johnny's was just alright. I agree that a lot of people won't even know where Brigsten's is located.

Brigsten’s and it's not even close.

Brigtsen's is one of the better restaurants in the city. Chef Frank Brigtsen has been whipping out some of the city's finest cuisine in the riverbend for quite some time.

As far as pizza goes, I would throw Slice, Theo's, & Tower of Pizza against any pizza joint in LA.

Brigsten's because it is a reaffirmation that Louisiana cooking is America's most durable and satisfying. Brigtsen's is now the place against which all other restaurants serving South Louisiana cuisine have to be measured.
