Where would I grab a cocktail on a Friday in BR, with an hour to burn before 7:30 reservations at Ruth's?

Good suggestion. Could also go to Brakes Bar - not as close but still 10 minutes max away. My favorite place for a pregame nice cocktail

Had some good times at that place in the early to mid 90’s.

Yeah, if I only had an hour I’d probably do the Ruth’s bar. But from 6:30-7:30 on a Friday night, you might be sipping your drink out in the lobby. Those handful of barstools fill quickly and the rest of the bar area is full service diners.

Tio Javi's (the old Ninfa's) is a couple hundred feet away. They have a nice bar area. Chips and salsa complementary.
