Anyone ever have them?
Do they taste better than fresh LA brown/white shrimp?
What's the best method to cook them?

I'm on the Florida Coast and seen them at a market near our condo, I've never had them and may buy a few pound to try them out.

Tasty enough but they don't compare to in/nearshore brown shrimp flavor wise. Just my .02

They taste different. Have a little different flavor and texture. Reminds me of a cross between shrimp and lobster.

I like to boil or steam them and serve with butter. They taste good on their own and don't need a lot of seasoning.

Cross between a shrimp and a lobster is a good description.

They're really good with drawn butter. Not sure I'd want them any other way, like with seafood boil, etc.

Brought back some from the beach last week that we boiled head on with old bay and garlic, they were probably the best I've ever had... So much fat and roe in the heads

Joe Pattis in PNS has headless beautiful ones for $7.89/lb, a super price. Don't boil them, just bring your water to a boil, turn off fire and drop in. Remove when they are pink and they are super easy to peel. Dip in clarifies butter and enjoy. WORST thing you can do is over cook/soak them.

Multiple restaurants have them in Bay St Louis. Been around here for a long time.
