Roberto’s Restaurant - damn good food

I took Mrs. TDsngumbo last night for only the second time because we always forget about that place but man is it good or what!? The Catfish Billy was fantastic and the gumbo was delicious (except it had tomatoes in it). We will definitely add this place to our regular date night rotation.
If you haven’t been to Roberto’s Restaurant on River Road in St. Gabrielle, I highly recommend it.

The specials are always phenomenal. The duck with sweet potatoes is amazing as well. I do a version of the River Road shrimp at home that is close but theirs is still better. Never had a bad meal there.

Yep, one of the places I really miss since moving back to the piney woods of cenla.
Pretty much everything at Roberto's and the crab au gratin at Hilltop in French Settlement almost make it worth moving back.

We won't order anything else b/c its that good. We did the same thing and tried to make it at home and its just not the same.

I always get the catfish Billy or shrimp Billy with a sensation salad. Excellent meal for $20
